Lucky to give all you ladies an insiders look into the 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary sale! Most could not get into shops so thought I’d bring the shop to you!
FALL BASICS
Let’s bring back the basics, the fall basics that is. Can you even believe they were talking about fall? Good news is I found a nice transition outfit my favorite piece by far are the jeans. This denim look is labeled Gaby from FRAME. They run true to size and the actual destruction on the needs not feel like it’s going to break has nice elasticity. You can tell from many outfits that will come up these Steve Madden booties really go with everything and are comfortable s and will be perfect for all of your fall looks. I grabbed this Madewell hand bag which is very light and wait and brings a pop of print to this look. Glam up with accessories chain-link everything in gold and a pop of leopard to match the bag to your hat.
ACTIVE COMFORT
As we all continue to work from home and stay inside it’s important that we make sure we’re staying active but also comfortable. Which is why I love this versatile look I put together. In comparison to the bright fuchsia ALO leggings these Zella leggings (size large) are heavier and have a more cotton feel vs. the athletic thin spandex feel of ALO.
However this look can be worn to the store on your couch to your best friend’s house for wine and it can be paired with multiple items including this fun tan and white zebra hoodie and if you’re looking for a heavier option three-quarter fleece cream pull over from Zella. Throw all of your work out items to take to the park in this phase Longchamp bag a pair of studs from Tory Burch, a timeless watch for Michelle and some fun aviators from Quay.
Let’s take a minute to talk about these Tory Burch sneakers because they are not the sneaker you were wearing to the gym or to do your work out but they are that casual sneaker that are mostly neutral and will go with absolutely everything I die for them get them on sale now.
We may not be taking a plane to travel anywhere soon but we’re all getting ready for road trips and falls small getaways that always need a comfy outfit that’s functional. I’d like to start with a stable piece like the leather jacket but kick it up a notch and don’t grab the color that everybody has. Invest in this All Saints leather jacket in deep Berry versatile color and still falls into a neutral. I wish that I could include a swatch of this dress for you to feel how soft and yummy it is from Top Shop. It has a mild slit on the side not too high long but it’s light in weight and perfect for traveling.
I’m going to let you in on a little SECRET that I learned while I was in the store this Kurt Geiger leather tote is so super lightweight, but the quality is so unexpected to me on how great it was. Fun fact is that you can grab this leather tote for under $250 and KG is made in the same factory as Gucci a.k.a. the same row leather materials. You’re welcome. If you checked out my travel necessities you know that I do not leave without a scarf and only does that help in containing germs (on top of our masks of course) but works as an easy pillow, a cover for your shoulders if you get cold, you basically just should not leave home without a scarf. Alexander McQueen stepped out on these Fashionable shaped sunglasses that pair great with the berry color. Of course, you can wear boots with this outfit but let’s keep it real and love the comfort of sneakers to complete it.
DATE NIGHT
Let me just say this is when I was not expecting.! Top shop coming out strong with this olive leather puff sleeve dress, functional buttons, and beautiful color, all for $50 during the sale?!
SIDE NOTE: You do have to be careful about wearing leather. One tends to get over heated because the material does not breathe. To give you a solution for this you have the option of keeping the top 3 buttons undone and wear a Free People bralette for coverage. Do what makes you comfortable.
There’s one item here that I’ve already seen sell out 🙁 (Hoping that it comes back into stock) Kurt Geiger tote in the black crocodile print. I’m obsessed with it I already have five people trying to get this for me from the store they have my name, they have my number, they have my credit card, if they see it they will buy it.
Although I brought a pair of my Bottega dupe sandals a knee boot like these from Vince Camuto in tortilla shade would work well. They are a nice height to minimize bare leg or bring in the black croc sandal. If you’ve seen my stories on Instagram, I’m obsessed with the sunglasses, especially from Fendi (they fit my face best)! Normally around $500 on sale for $280 if you can splurge, they really are sure winners. Last, you’ll see me wearing the gold braided headband in most of my photos from the style out, this is not from Nordstrom. (I tagged it anyways) If you and your man haven’t gone out in quite some time I’m pretty sure this number will get you some free dessert by the end of the night 😉
PLAY ON PLAID
I don’t know about you but I for sure am obsessed with jackets! Always have always will. (See last winters coat closet here!) Having a coat that is the third piece layering complement to your look always makes you stand out. That’s why coats are so important. Don’t look any further for a perfect neutral coat for fall and is Bernardo beige and tan plaid coat is mid-weight. The fabric is not crunchy at all, it’s soft and will last many seasons. For a transition to Fall I paired it with a Top Shop tank for $14 it’s rimmed so it looks fine underneath the coat but these jeans this denim… These Mother jeans are rigid but will make you look like you have your style on point for fall. Pull out your Steve Madden booties in the Cognac color, pop on all your gold accessories, finished with your hat for under $50 and you’re looking like 1 million bucks.
LOUNGEWEAR
I know it sounds crazy you’re gonna spend $80 in the sweater but really it feels magical this Bare Necessities cardigan sweater comes in multiple colors but I love this tan and mauve leopard print that match with your comfort Active Zella high waisted leggings. I’m pretty sure you can buy this is your only sweater and live in it all season. Like I said about scarves any of them this one is cashmere does it get better than that? All solid colors so you can pay her back with most of your items that you already own. Included for different sneakers in neutral colors to match back. In case you don’t wanna wear any shoes at all included are some fuzzy socks with the same material as a sweater hello now we’re walking on clouds. They’re on a lip gloss and you’re ready for the Netflix and chill.
NEUTRAL NECESSITIES
As you can tell I’m really into neutrals but who is it? I took this clearance blazer that’s a perfect transition item not on the sale but only $39 from Top Shop and it paired perfectly with the jeans I promise you’re willing to splurge on from mother. Found this cute little handbag from Coach. Crazy right?! Coach! You wouldn’t think this style would be Coach but this shape will really pop for fall. Parent with those Steve Madden booties that leopard hat and all of your gold accessories and again is that another neutral tone without having to invest In many new pieces.
SHINE ALL DAY
OK this look is pushing it I know but I couldn’t help myself do you see the shine in those gold leggings?! These leggings are from Heroin they come in multiple colors I found them in the “last ones left “rack and I could not pass it up however they are available online so don’t worry about that they are pricey but hear me out. Technically they are active leggings but when you see them in person you were going to realize that all the time that you bought sequin pants for the holidays or for special occasions and all the sequins pulls on each other in between your legs And gets ruined . Well you won’t have to worry about that anymore. Sure, wear them with your sneakers if you like similiar to how I paired it with this Nike urban active jacket. Zella zebra sports bra, adjustable Longchamp tote bag and fabulous Gucci shades for a more athletic look.
But you can also kick it up a notch and wear them with booties and a long black sheer tunic, gold eye shadow, and a fun beret and you have a completely different look. Therefore I view these leggings at the $99 as an investment into multiple stages of your day which is why I called it shine all day!
GET MOVING
If neon leggings don’t make you get moving I’m not sure anything will! My first look is activewear includes labels ALO, Zella, Sweaty Betty, and Nike. My two favorite pieces from this look are definitely the fuchsia leggings they are high waist and they are super thin but feel very durable. I’m only 52 but I’m wearing a size large. For top options I wanted to give two ideas based upon your comfort level. I personally think this neon pastel green cropped ALO hoodie is fab! It included a bungee pull to secure your waist and our other option is a tunic length mock neck ALO sweatshirt in a bright light blue. If you look to the bottom left there is a white mesh hoodie the picture doesn’t give it justice but this is perfect to wear over your workout outfit or wear during a workout since it’s so breathable (Sweaty Betty).
You can grab this neon Sweaty Betty sports bra for $25 I wear a size large. Finish off your luck with accessories great QUAY aviator sunglasses, a cute black headband I will go with everything, and of course you cannot forget to hydrate. Pick up this purple Hydro water bottle during the N sale! Purple is the only color available and goes perfect with this look! Last but for certainly not least you must take care of those feet I am actually obsessed with the Zella socks they are a very nice thickness and go up just high enough so that you don’t get a blister from new sneakers but not too high that they don’t look low cut. you all know what I’m talking about! Pair it with these great Nike sneakers that will match anything since they have an iridescent Nike swish sign to complete any outfit.
STREET CHIC
If we’re going to the streets we might as well be chic! Of course, I found another jacket It really pulls this look together I’m wearing a size medium in Avec le Vie gorgeous rich blue, double breasted wool coat. Normally almost $400 on sale for 199. The best part about this is the Missoni scarf that’s $120 that matches perfectly couldn’t help myself in this by. For the core of the look I have a simple clean denim from L’Agence. It’s a crop in length which means it’s a full length for me, 5’2 petite. This look sets herself apart with this pussy bow top from Halogen which is less than $50! you can style anyway you want tight long tight short you can also tie it twice but between the scarf the jacket in the pussy Bow this look screams chic and it also says you know how to pull yourself together!
LEATHER CHIC
Another great Fall look including that berry leather jacket from All Saints. Keeping it clean with this dark blue L’Agence denim and a V-neck black top from Chelsea 28. Don’t be afraid to put different color neutrals together to pull off this leather chic look. You can pull a black bootie into this look or variate your neutral tones with the berry, black, blue, and cognac. I feel like this look needs a pop of print which has the leather headband like a cherry on top.
STAY HOME
This wouldn’t be a Nordstrom sale if I did not include some type of tie-dye. This BP tie-dye pajama set is softer than butter and cheaper than $30 apiece. I ended up getting a size medium in both the top and the bottom I would say that they run true to size if anything the top might run a little bit large. I’m so excited about these UGGs slippers that are on sale for $59 in multiple colors I picked the tan one here in the bottom right corner. And if we’re staying home we’ll probably have a glass of wine or juice or some thing and if you’ll need a glass. Might as well make it pretty and pink. Look at the six pack blush glasses that are perfect for a girls night in. I also pulled this mirror for applying your make up or your skin care regimen make sure you get all the nooks and crannies it’s a nice savings not too big not too small of a mirror to fit even on the smallest counter space in New York City like myself.
