What is all this hype about a $240 brush FOR YOUR HAIR?!? Mason Pearson has been in the media, you’ve heard of it, people rave about how magical it is, but why? And after returning from its homebase of England last week its been top of mind. But lets think.. I don’t know about you.. (Yes I do, 95% of humans are NOT going to pay $240 for a BRUSH) but I am not willing to spend my hard earned cash that quickly. So I set out to find us girls some options! And if not options I still found us a deal on the original!
What is the magic?
What they say.. STIMULATES YOUR SCALP. (well don’t those little spider looking things in the mall for $10 do that too?) The cushioned boar and nylon bristles are what sets Mason Pearson brushes apart. When you brush, it gently stimulates circulation and brings blood flow to the scalp, which can promote healthy hair growth. Ok well we all want healthy hair but lets here it from the creators below;
Mason Pearson hairbrushes have been loved by generations, a British design icon that still out performs its rivals.
The famous orange pad fills with air through a small hole in the tip of the brush, giving the hairbrush a luxurious soft cushion. The high quality boar bristle ensures beautiful results and longevity of use.
The plastic handle shape was developed from the original wooden models, which are still made in small quantities. These handles are hand-finished to remove any sharp edges and make the hairbrush more comfortable to hold.
Where / How is it made?

Our boar bristle is sourced from both India and China and is obtained using two methods:
- Collection from the forests and rocky areas surrounding the villages where the wild boars live. During the seasonal moulting process they rub/scratch their backs against trees and rocks. The shed bristle is then collected.
- As a by-product of the meat industry from domestic pigs.
The bristle is collected and processed to comply with the EU Regulations on importing Products of Animal Origin.

Luckily I had a major push in recommendation on this specific brush after the ladies of The Real daytime talk show repped its magic! Yes ladies, finally an affordable, at your door in 2 days kinda buy because its from AMAZON. I’ve been loving this version myself and really think it pairs well in comparison to the original for the end result in MY type of hair!
