Well how do you start packing for London especially in JANUARY. Well as some of you may know I used to live in London about 12 years ago when I was studying abroad. I lived right near Marble Arch, on a little street called Gloucester Place Muse and I absolutely adored it!! Let me just tell you this entire trip truly put everything into perspective for me. When I was there in college I was so limited on funds let’s just say college poor. I was living off of 99 pence soup, making one giant pot of sauce or so-called chili with me my roommates for the whole week, and eating chocolate digestives with peanut butter on top for breakfast! Honestly it was all about saving money (surprise nothing has changed here) during the week in order to be able to plan our little getaways and see new countries, new cities across Europe.
So this trip 12 years later is such an eye-opener because I really did not get to experience the true London. Now I really can’t quite decide whether or not London has changed that much in 12 years or if I just didn’t have an appreciation for its beauty, it’s economy, it’s eclectic cuisines, in total it’s lifestyle! This trip for me was much too short especially in January but we were lucky to get sunshine every single day! No rain just on the chillier side at about 45° so before we get to some more details about where to eat, where to stay, or where to shop, we’re going to get ourselves together on WHAT TO WEAR.
As you know I usually try and pack as light as possible when I travel. Specifically carry-on only for up to 2 weeks vacation because it saves time and its easier to get around when you are on the move! I just like to have all my stuff with me God for bid something gets lost but on this trip since in January it’s quite cold and I’m not just rolling up a maxi dress to go to an island I HAD to check a bag. Let me just say I was able to pack 4 coats, so many fun outfits, and plenty of shoes that I never get to pack when I fit everything in a carry-on! Plus we have global entry and my husband luckily is a Diamond with Delta so our luggage came out quick and everything was a speedy process!
Coming out of the holiday season and as we approach Valentine’s Day and I had so many fabulous red outfits that I didn’t even have a chance to wear. And you all know that mixing red and pink is all the rage at the moment so its aw perfect combo for February. Plus I’m still obsessing over my red fur tiered coat from Nordstrom (if you don’t know about my coat obsession check out My Coat Chronicles post) so we needed to make this a forefront (& its warm, obvi)

Everything is gorgeous! I especially love the pastels, pinks, and the black Halogen top with the gems on it! 🤩 They’re sold out of my size, but I keep checking just in case, lol.
I went to London last February and wish I had seen something like this then! Thank you for sharing!! 🎀💕
